As we continue this path together, it is looking less likely that we will be able to come together in the near future to share our best practices, ideas, and questions. We often receive requests asking us to help you connect with your peers to share best practices and communicate about the Orbis platform. Recognizing this, our team is excited to launch the new Orbis Community of Practice. This community will be available to our campus partners through our existing online help desk – no additional logins and no new system to navigate. Anyone with a help desk account will receive an email including an introduction and access instructions. The community will officially come online next week.
The Orbis Community of Practice is a venue to discuss and share best practices, find out about the latest product developments, and communicate ideas and ongoings at each of your institutions. Discussion boards will support interaction and communication with your colleagues across the country while also sneaking a peek at the development direction of the Orbis technologies that you use. Yes, we have big plans for the Orbis Community of Practice! Over time, you will even be able to help us gage interest in certain ideas or features by voting up or down on development projects – so that you can have a say in how Orbis technologies you use will optimally support you and your team.
The new limitations on physical gatherings, shouldn’t prevent us from sharing our ideas and our stories. We designed and implemented the Orbis Community of Practice to do just that. We know this community will help you connect with each other and, importantly, help us connect with you.
