We’re so excited to begin this new year by announcing a partnership with The Conference Board of Canada to make data from their OpportuNext tool available to institutions on the Outcome platform.
The Conference Board of Canada’s tool, OpportuNext, will bring a snapshot of Canadian labour market data to each active Outcome job posting for any institutions that opt-in to receive the service. Once live in Outcome, the Conference Board widget will appear in the top right of each job opportunity. There, users will see a quick overview of Labour Market Insights (LMI) data related to that career, with the option to click directly into OpportuNext to explore the career in more depth.
By increasing awareness about the Canadian labour market, students can contextualize their own educational path – turning their learnings into real-world applications. The types of skills, abilities, knowledge, work activities, tools, training, and education foundational for success in their hopeful careers will be more certain than ever.
The Conference Board of Canada’s OpportuNext widget will only be turned on for institutions that confirm interest through our sign-up form. The widget will match a job title in Outcome against a database of over 30,000 job titles to provide National Occupation Classification (NOC) Codes, current labour demand strength assessment, 5-year employment growth prospects, and O*Net skills levels, to name just a few of the data points that will be available.
A preview release of the widget will be available by the end of February. For schools that indicate interest in being part of this partnership, a team member will contact you to detail the process.
This integration is entirely free for all of our campus partners on Outcome.
Any institutions opting to turn on the widget will have the first opportunity to beta the full-fledged LMI tool we are developing. We’ve included a preview of how the tool is currently evolving. This tool will be available for students and career advisors with a launch date of late Fall 2023.
